Residential Services
VoIP Residential Long Distance with Local Service
-
Utilizes a single phone number (DID) from around the Puget Sound region to reach other callers within any LATA within the continental United States.
-
Direct Inward Dial (DID) Numbers are best utilized when provisioned from the users home calling area, but we are able to pull DID numbers from most major rate centers across the continental United States. If you need a Local Number, in say, San Francisco for some reason, we will be able to accommodate you. In addition, we can provide you with multiple DID numbers and recommend a multi-line Telephone to utilize these multiple DID numbers.
-
No matter what DID Number is provisioned on the line, we require a strict, local, and valid service/street address location for E911 purposes. Emergency Calling Services (E911) is fully supported on a per DID/phone line basis with updated ANI (Automatic Number Identification) and ALI (Automatic Location Identification) registered with your local PSAP (911 Call Center) for each DID/Phone Line.
-
Requires Broadband Internet Connection for VoIP Residential Long Distance with Local Service to function. Users with lower bandwidth upload speeds (Especially lower than 256kbps) may experience call quality issues. Please call technical support if you run into any of these issues.

Requires the Purchase of either:
-
A SIP ATA (Analog Telephone Adapter), which converts a SIP/RTP Signal into a normal POTS line that you can plus a normal phone into. SIP ATA devices usually cost between $40-$80. We recommend a Linksys PAP2T-NA VoIP Phone Adapter, which you can find on Amazon.com new for roughly $45.00. Amazon also sells used models for cheaper.
-
A SIP Telephone. This will have an Ethernet Jack (some connect Wirelessly now too!) and a spare jack for your PC, and will either get power from your Power over Ethernet switch, or will come with a power supply. SIP Telephones usually cost between $90-160 depending on how many extensions you want (for residential service you only need two, max). We recommend the Linksys SPA901 or a SPA921 for a single line configuration, or for a multi-line configuration a Linksys SPA942. The SPA901 runs around $59.99 from Amazon, the SPA921 runs around $84.99 from Amazon, and for the SPA942 for a multiline configuration, consider spending around $115.00 from Amazon.

There are a LOT of VoIP phone wholesalers that retail to the public, as well as eBay, so please do some shopping around, the numbers we show here from Amazon are only for reference and we by no means support or endorse buying directly from Amazon.com. Google searches may be your best friend for finding the best pricing on a SIP phone for your home. Ensure though that the unit comes with a power supply! Some phones are meant to be powered over the Ethernet port and do not come with a power supply, so double check that you are getting a model with a power supply included.
